Miss Missouri’s Outstanding Teen is proud to be a part of the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen scholarship program. The program has been organized to encourage positive achievement by helping nurture and build the scholastic achievement, creative accomplishment, healthy living and community involvement of our nation’s youth.
Among its initiatives, the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Organization will host a national competition focused on encouraging and rewarding the talent, communication skills, community service, and academic achievement
of girls between ages of 13 and 17 years old.
To Become a Contestant:
- One can pay a $400 entry fee and come directly to state as a contestant–at-large.
- One can enter a local pageant, win a title and qualify for state with a fully paid reduced entry fee of $150 (dependent upon pageant).
- One can enter at least 3 local pageants and qualify for the reduced entry fee of $150 to the state pageant.
- No matter how one qualifies for state, one must attend the mandatory State Pageant Orientation held at a time and date to be announced.
A Contestant Must Compete in the Following Categories:
- Talent (35%)
- Interview (30%)
- Evening Wearand On-Stage Question (20%)
- Lifestyle and Fitness in Active Wear (10%)
- Academic Achievement (5%)
